Raquel Potaka

Having spent my early childhood in the Paraparas region, returning here with my own family is a true joy, allowing them to experience the magic of this place firsthand.

My educational journey took me from primary schools in Parihauhau and Kakatahi to Otago and Nelson for secondary schooling. Eventually, I pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management at Massey University before embarking on a career overseas.

During my time abroad, I delved into various roles within the Investment Banking and Wealth Management sector while furthering my education with a postgraduate diploma in Investment Analysis.
Immersed in the workings of a large corporation, I found fulfillment in understanding and navigating the intricacies of business operations.

However, after 15 years in finance and welcoming two children into the world, my priorities shifted. Seeking a more personally fulfilling path, I seized the opportunity to retrain during maternity leave, obtaining a Teaching Diploma from Victoria University NZ. Subsequently, I embarked on a decade-long teaching journey at the Australian International School in Singapore.
 

Driven by a passion for collaboration and communal support, I am eager to contribute to a community dedicated to helping and uplifting others.
