Born and raised in Raetihi.

Attended Raetihi primary School.

4 years at Ruapehu College.

Left school to work in the Tongariro National Park under the guidance of a carpenter for the next 14 years.

I was then promoted to Conservation Officer C4 (Senior Ranger).

Appointed to senior position running Pipiriki Field Centre in the Whanganui National Park.

In total I worked for the Department of Conservation for 32 years.

Retired and moved back to Raetihi in 2006.

I am a Dream Makers Trust Trustee as well as filling positions on other Trusts as a Trustee also. 

Time and age places many restrictions on my abilities, however it's hard to keep a good man down!
