Dionne Potaka

Originally from the Whanganui area I spent many years working in Education in New Zealand and in International schools in Hong Kong, Singapore and China.

My family all enjoyed living overseas but the end goal was always to return to NZ. In 2016 my husband, Duncan and I returned to Whanganui with our two children, Quinn and Eden, to settle, give them the opportunity to experience all the good things the area has to offer and also to connect with whanau and their tūrangawaewae.

Working with Dreammakers is an opportunity to help other young people make connections and develop a sense of belonging.

The programmes provide support to build a better future for everyone involved.
