I am of  Ngati Ruru, Ngati Rangi, Atihaunui A Paparangi, and  Uenuku descent.  Married to Robin and have 3 adult children and 6 grandchildren. 

My career has been both extensive and diverse, ranging from Health, Banking, Business, Education and Whānau/Hapu Development.

With 15 years in Banking, 8 of which were as Bank Manager with Westpac Trust, has enabled  me to develop strong human resource skills, working with people from a diverse range of backgrounds.  It has also equipped me with extensive knowledge in lending and banking operations and procedures.

Graduating with an MBA from Massey University, has enabled me to add a professional component and dynamic perspective to my current role as a Kaiako with Te Wananga o Aotearoa, tutoring the Certificate in Small Business Management, Certificate in Money Management and Certificate in Applied Business Growth.

​

I am also a Marriage Celebrant and have performed several ceremonies throughout the country.

I was sworn in as a Justice of The Peace in February 2014, a role which I thoroughly enjoy as it involves giving back to the community.
